Why Team Work?
The main feature of Team Work is that through its projects and activities the organization facilitates during its members’ college years the development of the interpersonal and communication skills necessary in the work field.
Moreover, it provides its volunteers with a solid and relevant experience in various areas of management and other related domains.

YOUTH CENTER “BĀZE”, Gulbene, Latvia
• Youth Center “BĀZE” is structural unit of Gulbene town municipality. Idea to establish the organisation was to create foundation, base (latvian – bāze) where they can come and feel like at their own place.
• Aims of organisation is to give support for local youngsters to realize their initiatives in local level and to enable young people to make informed decisions, to help them to avail of opportunities open to them, to realise their full potential and actively participate in community life.
• Also – organisation is coordinator of youth issues in Gulbene – by spreading youth information to organisations, foundations, youth groups.
• Nonformal education and volunteering are 2 priorities of the YC “BĀZE”.
Tasks:
• To collect materials and information about youth issues,
• To establish contacts and to maintain co-operation with persons and
organizations having the same aims and tasks in Latvia and abroad,
• To develop and to realize youth initiative projects, events, activities,
• To popularize the nonformal education and volunatry work,
• To intercommunicate with Gulbene municipality in the sphere of youth issues
Municipality of Reggio Calabria, European office, Italy
The European office of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria is mainly an information desk providing information on the E.U. programmes and initiatives addressed to young people.
It has been a Info Point Europe from 2001 till 2004 and afterwards it has continued its activities as European office. Since January 2007 it hosts a Eurodesk local relay.
It runs several European projects in cooperation with schools, youth organizations, cultural and voluntary associations etc.
It also organizes and promotes local events and initiatives on E.U. issues in order to stimulate and increase the European awareness of the local community.
The staff is currently made up of 6 employees, 1 freelancer and 4 volunteers.
